"My poor tree!!!" versus the reality of "It will recover quickly."

This is one of the trees we got from the builders. It reached for the sky. Unfortunately, it got too tall and too close to the house. You may think this trimming job is too much. But it's how they trim here. I am betting on this tree to grow back a lot within just a year. We shall see.

Bangkok, crossroads of the world.

If you ever hope to meet up with old friends, it will be in Bangkok. Everybody in the world seems to stream through there at some point. I can do five days there, maybe even a week. After that, I start trying to convince my friends to get out of town.

Back home in Sacramento Ratchasima.

Out of all the places in Thailand, I ended up in Sacramento Ratchasima. That's okay with me. Whenever I come back from Bangkok, I give thanks and praises for staying here instead.

Just a bit of บุรีรัมย์ / Buriram.

We stopped for lunch at a restaurant not far from the racetrack, Chang International Circuit. It was Christmas Day 2025. 

I will go to Buriram with you whenever you want to go. It's a cool place.

สามพันโบก / Sam Phan Bok / Three Thousand Holes.

This is a must-see for all geology heads. Despite it being a tourist place, the locals are very nice and helpful. For myself, it made me happy to visit the exact spot where they filmed a video for the song อีสานบ้านเฮา / Isaan Our Home, featured in the drama มนต์รักแม่น้ำมูล / Mon Rak Mae Nam Mun in 2011. Props to the หมอลำ / morlam singer แม่ไก่ / Mae Kai (ไก่ ปริศนา วงศ์ศิริ / Kai Prissana Wongsiri) for knocking it out of the park on this one. And the dancing? Come on. It doesn't get much better than this, especially in this setting.

P.S. If I were to be a tour guide, I would hope to be half as competent and kind as the young lady who showed us around. น้องกำลังอ่านโพสต์นี้อยู่หรือเปล่า? ขอบคุณมากครับ
