Orchids are looking good.

My partner bought these orchids at the mall, and planted (hung?) them at home. They are right in front of my office, which makes for some very nice orchid viewing.

One good thing about living in a sauna country is that you've got a beautiful garden to look at year around. (Albeit from the safety of your air-conditioned refuge.)

  1. As you likely know, I embrace a cactus and succulent lifestyle, and there have been some silly/strange/dangerous/wholesome acts which I've committed for the plants' well-being. But for sheer insanity, I always, while establishing my mentally-well credentials, always point to the orchid folk as the ultimate in human kindness and nastiness - at least I think we C&S people aren't quite as far gone as they are, but I'm probably wrong. Anyway, love the orchids! I think they grow naturally on all continents but Antarctica. For an absolutely smashing read on the plants (but particularly on the people who grow them), read Eric Hansen's 'Orchid Fever'. Good growing, JerCon!
