We have a couple squirrels (I think) living in the neighborhood the last several months. I often spy them running along the top of the wall.

The Golden Hour.
What a job! I have been assigned sunrise and sunset monitoring duties in my retirement. I do a real good job on the sunsets, but I am quite unreliable on the sunrises. At any rate, I can report that recent sunsets have been spectacular. Good job, universal something or other!

2025 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship at Chatchai Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima.
We went the first day (Friday, August 22nd) and saw the U.S. team win out over an excellent team from Slovenia. The funnest part of the night was getting to the hall. We saw ponds and lakes all over the parking lots. Once we started walking, we saw water flowing like creeks. We ended up taking our shoes off and wading through the floodwaters. We were not the only ones.
