Be the tree. Grow back!!!

Even if somebody trims you back to almost nothing, does the equivalent of cutting off nearly all your branches, come back strong. That's what our tree does. No complaining. It just grows right back every time.

Not subject to superstitions like the Ides of March.
The tree just continues growing back.

You can't go wrong with a Toyota Corolla.

This is my second Corolla, albeit the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GR Sport SUV instead of the traditional sedan. It looks a bit sporty, doesn't it? I say my car, but my partner tends to be the driver. I only drive often enough to maintain my status as backup driver. I drive a bit more on road trips, though. At any rate, so far so good with this car. The Toyota Corolla abides.

First time in Imperial Hotel, Valentine's Day 2026.

It would have been nice to close my mouth for the photo, but oh well. The Imperial Hotel buffet is okay. It's a nice place with nice staff.

Old, bald farang spotted again outside Daiso taking photos of Fantasia Lagoon sky.

I support sex education.

It's biological fact and an important health issue. I've never understood why anyone would oppose sex education. Props to the school and government officials of Nakhon Ratchasima. I spotted this display outside a public clinic in the shopping mall. I was shameless enough to take a photo, but not brave enough to spin the wheel.

Dinosaur birds in the dead tree.

Possible "dinosaur birds" in the dead tree north of the main gate. I've only seen them there once, if they were, in fact, dinosaur birds. Of course, my so-called dinosaur birds don't actually exist. We only call them that because they bring to mind pterodactyls. But that's not even correct because it turns out that pterodactyls couldn't glide, and these birds often do.

I am a very shitty birder, I admit. There is some possibility that these are Asian Open-Billed Cranes. Give me a couple of years, and maybe I will get to confirmation. But maybe not. I enjoy watching them return to roost each evening regardless. They are fantastic gliders.

If I could, I would happily eat kimchi each and every day.

I'm not a huge fan of Bonchon restaurant outlets, but the ones in Nakhon Ratchasima shopping malls have some okay kimchi. And I sure do like eating kimchi as often as possible. It sure was nice to find kimchi at the Tell City Farmers Market back in 2024. Kimchi, kimchi, kimchi. Let the greatness of kimchi be known all around the world!

Which kimchi, specifically, those of you in the know ask: All of them!!!

Sunset / moonrise.

Proof of life. (It's been a while...)

Lone wolf dinosaur bird.

It's rare to see a dinosaur bird alone. But I have been seeing this one in the small forest area just south of the main gate. 20260316
